stuff I bought

today was the kind of day I prefer - lots of shopping. we left around 11:30 this morning to go to Crafty by Nature, but decided that we would first go to Six Feet Under Games, since Chris has a gift card that's been burning a hole in his pocket. I always forget how long it takes to get there - the way we go takes about 45 minutes. he bought a bunch of M:tG-related stuff that I don't care about, as well as some tiny chains for 40k conversions. after that, we stopped at a Sheetz for some lunch. I had a turkey/bacon/provolone pretzel sandwich and an iced chai. Chris had chicken fingers and garlic fries. everything was delicious.

then we made our way back to Shupp's Grove for Crafty by Nature. honestly, the showing of "crafties" was less than impressive. there were only about six "cratfy" stands there, and none of them really stood out to me. to be fair, though, it was 2:30 by the time we actually got there and started walking around. there were lots of antiques and stuff, though, so it was a lot of fun anyway. I bought two cool things - a wooden carved cat and a box of old test tubes.
stuff I bought
the cat is adorable and I couldn't pass it up, but the test tubes are an awesome find. there's even a little cataloging sheet to go with it! super exciting.

after that we went grocery shopping, which is never a good time. it wasn't too bad today, though, so we made it through pretty quickly. and now we are home and I am not sure what to do with the rest of the evening. I think maybe I will go bother Chris...

  1. Sounds like you had a great day! The test tubes are cool, and the cat is so Morgaine! Years ago, Pat had a bunch of test tubes and beakers. I have no idea where he got them or where they went, but we used to drink our RC Cola out of the beakers, lol. So very steampunk...
